I was tempted to spell Mr. Silverstein’s name “Shell.” Very appropriate to delicate adventures.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss

As child, I read very little of Dr. Seuss’s catalogue. The one Seuss been we did read in the Glanting household is Green Eggs and Ham. I’m not sure, but I think reading this book may have been a ploy by my folks to get the Glanting boys to eat more things. But, gentle reader, you’ll be happy to know that my brother and I stayed the course and remained adamantly against new foods and experiences despite being exposed to Seuss’s gastronomic propaganda.
