Drawing eggs from medieval times can prove challenging because, contrary to popular belief, photographs had not been invented. I saw an illustration of Wat Tyler that must have been painted by a royal artist judging by how detailed everyone but Wat Tyler was. So if you find this picture of Wat Tyler lacking in any way, please shift your blame away from me and onto the chroniclers of medieval faces.

English Infantry from The 100 Year War

I read that a hail storm killed about 1,000 English troops at one point during the 100 year war. I’m from San Francisco, and we get hail very rarely, and while that hail is somewhat unpleasant, it’s hard for me to picture hail so strong that it could kill a great many people. For that matter, though, I find it difficult to any extreme temperature. That’s why I have burns and frost bite all over me.
